We have a huge problem in our nation today! Our foundation is being destroyed piece by piece. The founders came with the intention of establishing a Christian nation. They understood that if they turned away from God they would no longer have God’s provision and protection. If America is to remain free and protected by God, we must return to God and His ways. John Adams said, “It is religion and morality alone, which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.”
We need to return to the days when the Bible was the main textbook in our lives, in our homes, and in our schools. God's biblical institutions remain the building blocks for a free society today.
WE ARE RETURNING TO AND NOT ESTABLISHING NEW
To some people it seems radical and new to speak about making Jesus the Lord of our nation and to use His Word as the source for our laws. But this is not radical or new. It is returning to what our founders established in the early days of this nation.
We can no longer hide and be ashamed of our faith; for our faith in Jesus is the very thing that can save this nation. Be bold, be brave, be men and women of courage! Be unashamed of who Jesus is and what He has done for you.
It is in the name of Jesus that our nation must put its trust. The Bible says in Matthew 12:18-21 (NIV)18 "Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations...21 In his name the nations will put their hope."
When God was blessing Abraham, He was thinking about the nation of America. Galatians 3:8-9 (NIV) 8 "The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you." 9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith". America is a nation that was built on faith in Jesus; and America has been blessed.
What about you? When your life is over, what will they say about you? Will they say that you did all that you could to bring God’s kingdom here upon the earth? Will they say that you were instrumental in changing your community for Christ? Or will they say you sat quietly and watched the nation crumble?
